Born and raised in the south of Adelaide with the fleurieu as his backyard, Rob followed in his fathers footsteps and chose a career as a chef. After stints in several Adelaide restaurants he then decided to try his hand at running his own business. First, with his own private and corporate catering company then later with the purchase of Adelaide Botanic Garden Restaurant. Seven years later, together with partner Joanne who was born and raised on the Fleurieu took over the catering contract at Carrick Hill, Springfield. After extensive travel overseas they then decided there is no better place in the world to work, live, eat and drink than their old stomping grounds on the Fleurieu Peninsula. It then began……5 years as owner operators at Blessed Cheese, McLaren Vale and are now excited about the future at The Old Vine, Aldinga.
